Publishers Dostoyevsky Wannabe asked me to get involved in guest editing DW Cities Bristol, a new project/imprint which involved the commissioning of work from 5 other Bristol-based poets, and then organising an event around the publication of the book. Featuring Sarer Scotthorne, David Turner, Vik Shirley, Clive Birnie, Lizzy Turner & myself
Poem Brut: an exploration of artistic creative writing - poetry and colour, handwriting, composition, abstraction, scribbling, illustration - a project that aims to engage and energise poets, writers, artists, readers and listeners. Poem Brut affirms the possibilities of the page, the pen, the pencil for the poet in a computer age - generating over a dozen events, multiple exhibitions, workshops, conferences and publications. I've performed at a number of events, had artworks commissioned and exhibited. To date Hesterglock Press / Prote(s)xt have published Poem Brut books by SJ Fowler, hiromi suzuki, Andre Bagoo, James Caley, Thomas Havlik, with many more to follow. I curated / performed Poem Brut at Spike Island - w/pop-up art exhibits, the making of a communal cut-up art poem, films, mass participation readings, interactions, performances, books for sale feat. 2017 - ongoing: SAD PRESS | MOOT PRESS | HESTERGLOCK PRESS co-curate ANATHEMA, a reading series for experimental poetry and performance in Bristol. Supported by Bath Spa University’s College of Liberal Arts and the Arnolfini in 2017.
